How It Started

    Growing up working on cars with my father and grandfather, my love for the industry began. As I got older and began to drive, I took pride in working on my own vehicles. When in High School, I had my first wreck. This drove my interest to learn how to do collision work. I took a class in collision repair and shortly after began working an entry level position in a local shop. It was exciting to see mangled up metal and damaged paint become fresh and new again. 

    With so many colors, and so many vehicles, there was a constant change. Every vehicle, every paint job, every repair was different. I started to dream about one day opening my own shop. Fast forward, and that dream came to fruition. This brought forth many challenges. Where would it be? What would I call it? What would I do? 

    After much thought, I decided to name it the Otto Shop. The name "Otto" is a play on words as my grandfather's name was Darrell "Otto" Hanshaw (Pictured to the right). In naming the business, I also decided to let it honor my grandfather.
